Gia, your photography is stunning & your posts here are fresh & informative. I started reading your blog a few days ago after seeing your wedding photography about the interwebs. So far I’ve read everything under the tag “photography” in reverse chronological order & this is how far I’ve gotten for tonight. I love the term “wedding elves”. And I didn’t know Leica made cameras. As a science nerd I’m familiar with their microscopes & fancy microscope specimen prep tools (called microtomes & cryostats). Thank you for writing!

Thanks, A. Event planners know how hard everybody has to work to pull off an event with excellence, and how impossible it is to do their jobs properly without the whole crew functioning at full capacity.

Excellent reminder. As an event planner, when it came time for my own wedding, I made extra certain all of my wedding elves would have a nice dinner. Vendors received the exact meal as my guests, taking into account their dietary restrictions. The hotel even served our vendors a small selection of the appetizers from cocktail hour, plus salad, entree, and we sent them home with cupcakes as well. The result? Aside from their hearty thanks to my hubby and I, their expertise at our reception came in the form of beautiful photos, lovely video; fantastic music; and an expertly run reception timeline.

When I work with brides I ALWAYS ask, “And what would you like to serve your hard-working vendors?” Sadly, my question is often met with a deer-in-the-headlights stare!

Wow, these wedding photos are gorgeous! I love the colors and the brides dress is a knockout! Looks like a perfect day. Definitely gave me some great ideas for my own wedding!
